About The Position

This is a full-time Sanitation I position in a food manufacturing environment with opportunities for advancement. The role involves safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and the facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures. Responsibilities also include operating COP tank cleaning equipment, disassembling and reassembling equipment, following sanitation schedules, and documenting chemical use and cleaning completion. The company is growing and includes popular retail brands such as Red Baron®, Tony's®, and Freschetta® pizza; Mrs. Smith's® and Edwards® desserts; bibigo® and Pagoda® Asian-style snacks.

Requirements

Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local, state, and federal) and GMPs.
Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including hot/cold and wet/dry areas.
Flexible availability to work full-time, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED
0-1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment

Responsibilities

Operate steam and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures.
Operating COP tank cleaning equipment to clean disassembled equipment.
Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed.
Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator tests.
