About The Position

The Lead is responsible for assisting the Supervisor with duties in the assigned area while ensuring that job tasks, assignments, and rotations are being followed. The Lead will also be responsible for performing a variety of production-focused tasks to support daily production goals. At Butterball, we exist to help people pass love on. Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and possess good leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to walk or stand.
• Follow all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual abilities a plus.
• Must have working knowledge of all positions on the line.
• Must be able to become pallet jack certified-if required by area working in.

Responsibilities

• Position may require coordination and assistance with process set up before department starts and tear down after end of shift.
• Position requires attentiveness to equipment operation and processes with prompt notification to Supervisor or proper personnel of any malfunction and/or safety concerns as they arise.
• Follow directions given by Supervisor to assign and instruct personnel of daily production duties.
• Perform all other assigned duties that may require checks and measurements, ensuring adherence to GMP policy and safety guidelines are being met by everyone.
• Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
• Ensure assigned area of responsibility kept in a manner that is considered good housekeeping.
• Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
