About The Position

Charlie's Produce is a privately owned wholesale produce company and the largest privately owned produce wholesaler on the West Coast. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and help us enhance our communities through quality produce. This role is responsible for warehouse cleanup, maintaining a clean and orderly environment through various cleaning tasks, and assisting the receiving department as needed. The job involves working in both warehouse coolers and outside elements, and training will be provided on equipment such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts. The position requires the ability to give direction to a group.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to use a pressure washer.
Ability to work in tall heights while in a scissor lift.
Ability to read/write/speak English.
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (33 to 36 degrees F).
Ability to work safely and professionally in a fast-paced environment with frequent heavy equipment and pedestrian traffic.

Nice To Haves

1-year previous janitorial experience preferred.
Pallet Jack/Forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

General housekeeping including sweeping floors and cleaning up debris around the warehouse.
Cleaning up standing water, breaking down boxes, and recycling.
Scheduled cleaning of freezer, restrooms, and lunchroom.
Using a forklift to empty garbage and check for pest control issues.
Responsible for the completion of the daily SQF inspection log.
Assisting the receiving department as needed.
Performing other tasks assigned by management.
