About The Position

Under the direction of sanitation supervisors and specialists, this role is responsible for manual cleaning of support equipment, operation of the COP process, and completing sanitation processes on schedule within the manufacturing facilities. The position requires adherence to company food quality and safety standards, as well as standard work and operating procedures. Work time is spent completing sanitation processes including support equipment, COP processes, and line work as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Minimum of 2 years solid and continuous work experience beyond an entry-level role required.
Demonstrated stability in employment, limited unexplainable gaps in work history.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Quality-minded, conscientious, and self-motivated.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with others.
Ability to stand for entire 10-12 hour shift required.
Frequent squeezing of hands and squatting required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs required.
Ability to work in wet, hot, and slippery conditions throughout 10-12 hour shift required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in industrial sanitation and/or chemical handling preferred.
Experience leading people preferred; must demonstrate capability of providing direction to others.

Responsibilities

Execute sanitation and/or COP processes, including breaking down, cleaning, and reassembly of general manufacturing or support equipment.
Understand and effectively use all sanitation equipment and chemicals that support line sanitation.
Perform established work practices (Standard Work/SOPs), Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS), Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), chemical titrations, and associated documentation.
Use sound decision-making skills in the execution of general sanitation duties based on company documented processes and procedures.
Assist in providing effective solutions to difficult problems using logic and problem-solving skills.
Develop critical thinking skills by looking beyond the obvious to contribute to finding facts and defining root causes of problems.
Exhibit strong individual responsibility towards team metrics relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Be responsible for personal development by utilizing all company-provided training, resources, programs, and experts.
Participate in the training and development of workgroup members and new hires.
