About The Position

The Sanitarian supports production teams in a manufacturing plant by helping maintain high safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The position works in multiple refrigerated production areas and alongside an experienced Level 2 Sanitarian to ensure production equipment and areas are properly cleaned and sanitized.

Responsibilities

• Follow all GMP procedures and Food Safety, Food Quality, and Food Security policies.
• Report equipment failures to the Sanitation Manager or Supervisor.
• Set up and tear down production equipment as needed for cleaning applications.
• Use chemicals to clean and sanitize food-contact and non-food-contact surfaces.
• Inspect equipment before releasing the line to the Sanitation Manager or Supervisor for inspection.
• Document completed tasks on sanitation checklists.
• Wear required protective equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Use basic cleaning hand tools to clean conveyor belts, floors, walls, the trash dock, and other facility areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
