About The Position

The Sanitarian position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the plant according to the Master Cleaning Schedule. This role involves coordinating with Maintenance and Production teams, safely handling cleaning chemicals, operating high-pressure water hoses and air wands, and cleaning equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Sanitarian must also maintain control of issued tools and equipment, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and assist with scrap traceability. This position requires working variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, and performing all tasks safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 90-day probationary period to apply.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Requires flexibility of wrists and hands.
  • Walking, bending, standing, and some lifting required.
  • Must be able to tolerate heights up to 70 feet off the ground on occasion.
  • Lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with a mechanical device.
  • Completion of scissor lift, forklift, or pallet jack training as required.
  • Proficient in using high-pressure hoses (air or water).
  • Basic math skills for scrap reporting.
  • Strong commitment to safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Complete position posting signup sheet.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the plant per the Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Complete Fall Protection Training and follow all related procedures.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Production teams for equipment setup and breakdown.
  • Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.
  • Operate high-pressure water hoses and air wands for cleaning tasks.
  • Clean equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain control and accountability of issued tools and equipment.
  • Complete the Sanitation Training Checklist within the designated timeframe.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain personal hygiene.
  • Work every weekend and holidays as scheduled.
  • Assist with scrap traceability in designated facility areas.
  • Work variable shifts, including up to 12 hours per day.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
