At Lucchese Bootmaker, craftsmanship defines our brand. In boot making, counters are small, shaped pieces of leather or synthetic material used to reinforce and shape the boots upper, especially around the toe box, instep, and heel. They help maintain structural integrity, improve fit, and protect the leather from wear. Sanding counters is a finishing step that ensures they are smooth, flush with the surrounding leather, and free of burrs or irregularities. The Sanding counters operation is a hands-on operation using power sanding machines to remove excess material, smooth seams, and shape the boots upper so it matches the sole ad other components. The process requires exceptional hand dexterity and attention to detail. This position will need hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
