About The Position

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Sander Operator to be in Beverly, WV. Reporting to the Finish Line Production Supervisor, the Sander Operator will play a crucial role by sanding all flooring properly within specifications and so a quality finish can be applied. Additionally, the Sander Operator will be responsible for all maintenance of the sander and the efficiency with which it performs.

Requirements

General knowledge of the Sander.
General maintenance ability.
Ability to perform PM’s correctly and in a timely manner.
Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to creating a safe work environment.
Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability and willingness to work core hours to support the needs of our Business.
Ability to use a set of Calipers and Mics.

Ability to operate and maintain or be willing to learn to operate and maintain multiple pieces of equipment.

Responsibilities

Sanding all flooring properly within specifications.
Maintenance of the sander and ensuring its efficiency.
Completion of maintenance of the Sander as well as scheduling additional maintenance as required.
Ensure all counters are functioning properly.
Verify flooring specifications and document data.
Keep lineal, quality and downtime sheets completed every hour.
Change sanding paper as needed.
Maintain Housekeeping and 5S of Finish Line area.
Complete daily production numbers and run footage requirements.
Operate and maintain or be willing to learn to operate and maintain multiple pieces of equipment.
Practice safe work habits.
Effectively communicate with co-workers.
Maintain a good attendance record.
Work different shifts.
