Day Shift Sand Blaster
About The Position
Powder Coating Systems is seeking a full-time Day Shift Sand Blaster. The day shift operates from 5 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This role involves counting in and blasting jobs to prepare them for the coating process. Additionally, employees will support the floor by hanging, prepping, inspecting, and packaging parts when the sandblasting booth is not in operation. The ideal candidate is mechanically minded and comfortable working in a booth for up to 90% of their shift. After a period of adjustment, the ability to work independently is expected. Protective clothing, steel/composite toe boots, and hearing protection are required. All hired employees must complete a DOSH Medical Evaluation Questionnaire to be cleared for using supplied air hoods in the booth.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
- Must have reliable transportation to be at work on time daily.
- Must possess a current Driver's License.
- Must have a good attendance record.
- Must possess current documentation to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Power tools, Air tools and operating a forklift and Indoor Crane.
- Previous experience using a sandblasting machine.
- The ability to be mechanically minded.
- Self-starter with a strong drive to get the job done.
Responsibilities
- Counting in and blasting jobs to prepare for the coating process.
- Supporting the floor in hanging, prepping, inspecting, and packaging parts when the booth is not in operation.
- Cleaning out the booth daily, which involves shoveling shot off the floor into the pot for reuse.
