About The Position

Doncasters is hiring a Sandblast Operator in Groton, Connecticut. Under limited supervision, the operator uses sandblasting equipment to process a wide variety of castings according to established procedures and methods. The role involves loading and unloading parts, removing surface contaminants, and applying the required surface finish while meeting production and quality standards. The operator performs routine minor maintenance, including changing nozzles and basic equipment upkeep, and reports defective materials, equipment issues, and unusual operating conditions to supervisors or leads. Working independently, the operator uses daily shipping plans, WIP sheets, post-cast decision boards, and production priorities to support daily, weekly, and monthly shipping and manufacturing goals. The position requires consistently meeting production rates while maintaining acceptable quality. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. The listed pay is $18.92 per hour. Requirements

High school and/or technical school completion.
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic shop math skills.

Responsibilities
