About The Position

The main responsibility of this position is to fill sample requests for foodservice sales and marketing as it relates to foodservice sales including packing and shipping boxes.

Requirements

Some basic computer knowledge (Outlook, Excel).
Detail oriented.
Good Customer Service skills.
Demonstrated ability in basic mathematics
Able to follow instructions/schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision.
2 years of experience in similar position.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to lift 35#

Responsibilities

Assures products being sent are of the highest quality to exceed customer expectation.
Examines product being delivered to the sample area for defects, taste, color, and quality.
Orders candy & nuts to fill requests in a timely manner through customer service using proper procedures.
Follows proper procedures for storing, shelving and ordering inventory.
Records and files samples of orders filled on a daily basis.
Pulls, packs and ships retail sample orders via Fed Ex.
Prepares shipping labels for packages ensuring accurate and current information.
Monitors shipments to ensure prompt and proper delivery; responds to requests regarding shipment status.
Advises person ordering if sample order will be late or incomplete in a timely manner.
Pulls, packs, and ships replacement product for customer complaints.
Creates mock-up bags and sample kits.
Resolves shipment issues that occur by resending product or contacting the FedEx office.
