About The Position

The mission we offer you: Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Sampler plays a key role in the raw material control process. You will be responsible for taking samples of the raw materials received, ensuring their identification and traceability, and then transporting them to the laboratory according to established procedures. At the same time, you will contribute to warehouse operations by handling raw materials safely using a forklift.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma (SSD) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience driving a forklift (valid certification or ability to obtain it).
  • Basic computer skills (inventory management, requisition systems and traceability).
  • The ability to lift loads over 45 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in identifying, sampling, or controlling raw materials (an asset).
  • A level of French and English to communicate with certain members of the team and to understand technical documentation mainly written in English.

Responsibilities

  • Collect samples of newly arrived and newly added raw materials to ensure accuracy of information and traceability.
  • Check the identification of raw materials (product, batch number, status) before sampling to avoid any traceability errors.
  • Inspect containers for integrity, cleanliness and absence of damage prior to sampling.
  • Forward samples to the laboratory in a timely manner to allow for testing and approval.
  • Conduct the required follow-ups with the laboratory to confirm receipt of samples.
  • Move raw materials using forklifts to designated locations in the warehouse.
  • Position raw materials according to their status (e.g. quarantine) to ensure proper storage.
  • Apply health, safety and raw material handling procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area to support efficient operations.
  • Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor as required by operational requirements.
