About The Position

The Sample Receiving Technician is responsible for accurately logging and verifying all incoming samples to ensure they match accompanying chain-of-custody documentation. This role supports smooth laboratory operations by maintaining precise records, preparing bottle orders, assisting walk-in clients, and managing sample storage, shipping, and disposal.

Requirements

• Knowledge of good laboratory practices.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask under time-sensitive conditions.

Responsibilities

• Log and verify incoming samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and document sample condition.
• Review paperwork for accuracy, obtain required signatures, and complete log-in checklists.
• Perform required testing following Trace SOPs and provide feedback for updates when needed.
• Prepare bottle orders, ship bottle kits and subcontract samples, and ensure correct labeling.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and support general lab operations as assigned by the supervisor.
