We are seeking a Sample Management Technician to support the timely, compliant, and traceable movement of samples and specimens across processing laboratories. In this role, you will help maintain inventory accuracy, uphold established procedures, and contribute to efficient laboratory workflows in a bilingual environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Fluency in English and French is required.
Experience in a laboratory, sample management, inventory control, or similar operational environment.
Familiarity with sample tracking databases, LIMS, or basic inventory management systems.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and ability to follow written procedures consistently.
Effective organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Create, allocate, and process sample order requests across processing laboratories, ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials.
Archive, label, document, and track customer samples and specimens in company databases to support complete traceability.
Conduct routine inventory checks, identify discrepancies, and resolve sample-related or database issues promptly.
Verify transfers of sample inventories into permanent storage locations while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Maintain plate inventories within processing labs, ensuring availability, organization, and proper tracking.
Support laboratory operations by following SOPs, contributing to ISO-compliant processes, performing preventive maintenance tasks, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
