The Sample Control Technician logs, tracks, receives, and ships samples through the Service Center, verifies sample receipts, and ensures that sample documentation, labeling, storage, and routing are accurate and timely. The role prepares bottle kits for clients, determines sample priorities and testing procedures based on Chain of Custody documentation, and disposes of samples and waste according to established procedures. Depending on operational needs, the technician may also pick up and deliver samples, provide customer service, and perform courier or driving duties to support laboratory and client needs. The position is full-time in Anchorage, Alaska, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Overtime may be needed, and the technician must be willing to be on call outside business hours for non-routine sampling and deliveries. The role may involve driving for up to eight hours per day. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid state-issued driver's license. A DOT certificate, TWIC card, TSA clearance, or additional client- or location-specific credentials may be required within 90 days of hire or as operational needs dictate. Compensation is $16–$20 per hour, depending on experience and other factors. Benefits include medical coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, and dental and vision options.
