About The Position

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Sample Control Technician to assist with and oversee shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and logging samples. The position prepares samples for processing, receives and inspects deliveries, checks sample documentation, distributes and stores samples, and records information in the LIMS system. The technician follows safety and quality control procedures and maintains a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
Physical strength to lift and move heavy boxes received by the lab.
Ability to use LIMS software competently.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work well with a team and communicate clearly and effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills; handle issues calmly and politely.
Efficient time management and solid problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment to move heavy shipments.
Awareness of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepare samples for processing.
Accept and sign for deliveries.
Assist with unloading shipments from delivery trucks.
Use dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from the loading dock and around the Sample Receiving area.
Open coolers and inspect shipment contents; check documentation to ensure all samples are accounted for.
Distribute samples to the appropriate departments.
Follow safety and quality control procedures.
Store, restock, and shelve samples as necessary.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Enter records in the LIMS system.
