Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license to operate company vehicles
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle background check for company driver certification
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to drive for long periods, up to 8 hours per day
  • Knowledge of office practices and equipment
  • Proficiency with computers, word processing software, and database software
  • Understanding of laboratory and testing procedures
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Basic composition, spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills
  • Basic oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize work and pay attention to detail
  • Familiarity with computers and basic office equipment
  • Knowledge of computerized shipping systems
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment

Responsibilities

  • Log and track the receipt and shipment of all samples into and out of the laboratory.
  • Verify receipt of samples against Chain of Custody (COC), match it to the corresponding quote, and note discrepancies.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of COC documentation and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Log samples into the Lab Management System to assign a lot number for tracking.
  • Distribute paperwork to Project Managers.
  • Label samples with lot numbers for identification.
  • Deliver samples to appropriate labs for analysis.
  • Prepare bottle kits for shipment to clients for sample collection.
  • Forward samples to other laboratories as needed, adhering to DOT regulations.
  • Dispose of spent samples, waste, and hazardous materials according to established procedures.
  • Monitor freezer and cooler temperatures daily to ensure they are within SOP guidelines.
  • Clean and organize the department daily to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain and promote safety, conducting all operations in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
  • Stock and manage inventory of supplies to ensure adequate materials for tasks.
  • Perform splits and composites as requested.
  • Perform courier duties as needed to support lab and client requirements.
  • Comply with all driver procedures, certifications, and Company driver policies.
  • Be willing to be on-call during non-business hours for non-routine sampling and delivery.
  • Assist in the maintenance of walk-in coolers for sample location.
  • Ship empty coolers back to clients and other Eurofins Environment Testing America Laboratories.
  • Log all outgoing coolers to maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Maintain company vehicles used for sample pickups and deliveries.
  • Conduct all client interactions in an appropriate and professional manner.
