The Login Technician I responsibilities include receiving samples, unpacking coolers, labeling containers, scanning shipping documentation, and performing sample login. This role involves data entry with a high level of attention to detail, verifying sample preservation according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivering samples to refrigerators or lab areas. The technician will also assist with sample disposal, accurate weighing, pipetting, preparing volumetric reagents and standards, and performing basic aseptic techniques, media preparation, labeling, and plating. Additionally, the role involves producing bottle kits, adding preservatives to containers, and performing shipping, receiving, and login duties. Basic mathematical calculations and transcription of numbers are required, as is cleaning equipment according to SOPs. Accurate and clear documentation of all work, adherence to safe work practices, and company guidelines are essential. The role is 1st shift, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with additional hours as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs routinely and safely
  • Must be able to work standing for most of the day
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Receive samples, unpack coolers, label containers, scan shipping documentation, and perform sample login
  • Data entry for sample login with a high level of attention to detail
  • Verify sample preservation, following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Delivery of samples to walk-in refrigerators or lab areas after receipt
  • Assist with sample disposal queue and actions
  • Assist with accurate weighing, pipetting skills, preparing volumetric reagents and standards
  • Perform basic aseptic techniques, media preparation, labeling, plating
  • Produce bottle kits, add preservatives to containers, and perform shipping, receiving, and login duties
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations and transcribe numbers
  • Clean equipment, such as glassware, coolers, sinks, tables, samplers using solvents, water and detergents or acids according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Document all work accurately and clearly
  • Follow safe work practices and adheres to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner
  • Performs other duties, as directed
