About The Position

An intern for the Ruth E. Salzmann Center for Women's Leadership is expected to help organize, promote, and execute guest speaker events and receptions, as well as volunteer events. This includes coordinating with NM/Sentry and communicating with non-profit organizations in need, along with setting a date, time, and place for each event. The intern will also promote the Salzmann Center (SC) through social media, correspond with speakers, send follow-up thank you notes, coordinate lunch with female leader opportunities and attend at least two. The intern will attend weekly office hours to be available for questions and consultations, help design flyers for SC events, research and post resources for Women on the website/social media, help facilitate at least one program/workshop, and organize and engage in two book club meetings. The intern will also represent SC at the Women Trailblazer Conference.

Requirements

  • Currently employed or enrolled as a student at any of the Universities of Wisconsin.
