Primarily responsible for unloading trailers returning from stores and fulfilling warehouse assignments with offloaded materials using a forklift and pallet jack. This role requires adherence to all safety and sanitation guidelines, policies, and procedures. The Salvage Worker will receive job assignments from the Team Lead and operate a forklift to move items in the warehouse as directed. Key duties include efficiently loading and unloading trailers using a pallet jack, performing preparation checklists, and conducting equipment pre-operation checks. The role also involves ensuring items in trailers are properly stacked, wrapped, or secured before removing salvage, following proper trailer reloading procedures, sweeping out trailers, and removing debris. Additionally, the Salvage Worker will stack and rewrap salvage materials for reloading, clean the warehouse and other designated areas, and perform any additional tasks as directed by the Team Lead. Good attendance, adherence to the work schedule, and correct clocking in and out of shifts are required. Compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Preferred Work Methods (PWM’s), and Company Policies and Safety Procedures is essential.
