The Salon Manager must have an upbeat attitude with a commitment to provide an unforgettable fun and exciting haircut experience for each of our client children and parents. Ability to listen to and communicate with clients to ensure their complete satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum two years’ manager experience.
- Able to work weekends.
Responsibilities
- Ability to hire, lead, coach and train team for performance and salon goals.
- Operate Point-of-Sale software system.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Ability to work with kids.
- Organize employees’ shifts.
- Oversee and maintain the health and safety of customers by following the laws and rules set forth by the state board of cosmetology/barbering.
- Report directly to ownership.
- Serve as the Point of Contact for staff; Stylists and Salon Specialists.
- Work with the Assistant Manager to ensure all aspects of the business are running efficiently.
- Manage staff schedules, including filling gaps for conflicts or illnesses.
- Approve/Disapprove staff time off requests and inform staff of decisions.
- Ensure schedule is updated in the computer system to reflect correct staff days and times.
- Train new staff on salon operations.
- Assist Salon Specialists with questions on opening and closing the salon.
- Manage inventory of product and replenishment, including ensuring computer inventory is up to date.
- Assign weekly cleaning duties and ensure they are performed correctly and signed off.
- Provide complementary services to unsatisfied clients (with Assistant Manager).
- Assist owners with staff and client complaints.
- Perform Receptionist duties such as checking clients in and out.
- Assist stylists with prepping children in chairs and minicures for girls.
- Apply hygiene practices across all beauty stations.
- Be responsible for, and maintain cleanliness of salon.
