Sharkey's Cuts for Kids is seeking a Salon Manager for its Round Rock location. The Salon Manager will be responsible for ensuring an unforgettable and fun haircut experience for children and parents, requiring excellent communication and listening skills to guarantee client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum two years’ manager experience.
- Able to work weekends.
Responsibilities
- Hire, lead, coach, and train team for performance and salon goals.
- Operate Point-of-Sale software system.
- Multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Work with kids.
- Organize employees’ shifts.
- Oversee and maintain the health and safety of customers by following the laws and rules set forth by the state board of cosmetology/barbering.
- Serve as the Point of Contact for staff (Stylists and Salon Specialists) regarding any salon issues.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Manager to ensure efficient business operations.
- Manage the Staff Schedule, including filling gaps due to conflicts or illness.
- Approve/Disapprove staff requests and inform staff of decisions.
- Ensure the schedule is updated in the computer system.
- Train new staff on salon operations.
- Assist Salon Specialists with opening and closing procedures.
- Manage inventory of product and replenishment, ensuring computer inventory is up to date.
- Assign weekly cleaning duties and ensure they are performed correctly and signed off.
- Provide complementary services to unsatisfied clients (with Assistant Manager).
- Assist owners with staff and client complaints.
- Perform Receptionist duties such as checking clients in and out.
- Assist stylists with prepping children in chairs and minicures for girls.
- Apply hygiene practices across all beauty stations.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the salon.
