About The Position

Entry-level sales position supporting the DIY business and helping achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, the ability to source products from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, and in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. The position may be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Requirements

• Have 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
• Speak and write English; Spanish is a plus.
• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Be able to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Have basic driving and navigation ability.
• Be able to use a delivery board system, locate and stock parts, and operate inventory systems, store equipment, POS systems, and parts lookup systems.
• Have safety knowledge and skills, and parts and automotive system knowledge.
• Be able to use testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.

Nice To Haves

• Fleet safety certification preferred.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent selling experience during DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services, including battery installation and testing and wiper installation.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Perform inventory processes, including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Perform general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
