About The Position

DIS is seeking a highly talented Salesforce Platform Architect to support the Salesforce Center of Excellence as part of the new VA OMEGA contract. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices, as well as extensive experience in enterprise-level Salesforce implementations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, development, and implementation.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and platform capabilities.
  • Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience with data modeling, integration patterns, and middleware solutions such as MuleSoft.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CodeScan, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing in Salesforce environments.
  • Lead rigorous code reviews and PR evaluations to enforce high standards of system architecture, security, and performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, or System Architect.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise implementations of Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML capabilities within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable Salesforce architecture solutions aligned with VA OMEGA program requirements.
  • Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance across Salesforce platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation initiatives.
  • Define and enforce Salesforce development standards, best practices, and governance policies.
  • Evaluate and recommend integration patterns and middleware solutions.
  • Oversee data modeling, security architecture, and platform performance optimization.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to development teams.
  • Communicate architectural decisions and technical strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
