About The Position

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Senior Salesforce Full Stack Developer to support and enhance mission-critical child welfare applications. The consultant will be responsible for maintaining existing Salesforce applications and contributing to the development of the new CT-KIND (CCWIS) platform. This role requires a highly experienced developer who can independently drive requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support activities while working closely with business teams, technical teams, and system integrators.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall IT/Application Development experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong coding experience in Salesforce Apex using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Design Patterns, SOQL, CRUD operations, and platform configuration.
  • Ability to attend an in-person interview.
  • Ability to work onsite 1 day per week or 2 days every 2 weeks.
  • H1B candidates are accepted only if they have an approved I-140.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Components, Lightning Pages, and Visualforce.
  • Develop scalable and maintainable solutions following OOP principles and Salesforce best practices.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications.
  • Create and maintain technical design documents and system documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation and knowledge transfer.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when needed.
