Salesforce Developer

CapgeminiToronto, ON
CA$92,000 - CA$114,000Onsite

About The Position

We need a senior Salesforce developer who ships. You'll be dropped into an active Insurance platform team, hit the ground running, and own complex development work from day one. No long ramp-up. Just clean Apex, solid LWC, and a bias for getting things done right. If you're the kind of developer who reads the existing code before writing a line, asks the right questions in sprint planning, and leaves the codebase better than you found it - read on.

Requirements

  • 7+ years Salesforce development - Apex, LWC, SLDS, SOQL, Flows
  • Strong governor limit awareness and bulkification patterns - must be second nature
  • Hands-on FSC experience - data model (Accounts, Financial Accounts, Policies, Relationships)
  • Integration experience - REST/SOAP callouts, Platform Events, idempotency, error handling.
  • Proven ability to work independently - minimal ramp, maximum output and efficiently collaborating with team where required.
  • Comfortable in Agile/Scrum - daily standups, sprint planning, story estimation
  • Clear communicator - flags blockers early, provides accurate ETAs, documents decisions
  • Strong code review skills - can review work and give actionable feedback

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge on headless agents and Agentforce - awareness on Salesforce MCP.
  • CI/CD: SFDX, Git, at least one of Flosum / Copado / Gearset
  • Security fundamentals: FLS/CRUD, sharing rules, least privilege
  • OmniStudio (FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures)
  • Experience Cloud or Communities
  • MuleSoft or middleware integration patterns
  • Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer II, FSC Accredited Professional, Application Architect
  • Insurance domain depth: policy lifecycle, claims processing, broker/producer management
  • GenAI tools: GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Claude - able to use them productively without over-relying on them
  • Some full stack exposure: JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or .NET - enough to collaborate on integration services

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, and deploying Apex, LWC, and Flow solutions on Financial Services Cloud
  • Owning integrations with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs and Platform Events
  • Writing meaningful unit tests - not just chasing coverage percentages
  • Working within established CI/CD pipelines (SFDX + Flosum)
  • Participating in technical design discussions and contributing to architectural decisions
  • Conducting and receiving code reviews - giving useful feedback, not just approvals
  • Supporting QE with test scenarios and production bug triage
  • Picking up work across Insurance domain - policy, claims, producer management, client relationships

Benefits

  • Paid time off based on employee grade (A-F), defined by policy: Vacation: 12-25 days, depending on grade, Company paid holidays, Personal Days, Sick Leave
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage (or provincial healthcare coordination in Canada)
  • Retirement savings plans (e.g., 401(k) in the U.S., RRSP in Canada)
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Employee assistance programs
  • Other benefits as provided by local policy and eligibility
