About The Position

ICF seeks an experienced Salesforce Developer to support a mission-critical federal technology implementation project. The Salesforce Developer will design, configure, develop, integrate, test, and support Salesforce-based capabilities that meet federal stakeholder needs. The role requires hands-on Salesforce development experience, strong technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with business analysts, product owners, architects, testers, and federal stakeholders in an Agile delivery environment. Remote work is authorized. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours. ICF monitors employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses and prohibits personal VPN connections.

Requirements

  • Public Trust or an Active Secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements
  • Must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including custom development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, or similar Salesforce technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience developing, configuring, testing, and deploying Salesforce solutions in an Agile delivery environment.
  • 1+ years experience working with Agile project management and collaboration tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Active Salesforce certification, such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, or Platform Developer II.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce declarative configuration, including Flows, custom objects, fields, validation rules, page layouts, permission sets, profiles, reports, dashboards, and automation.
  • 1+ years experience supporting integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware, ETL tools, or other integration approaches.
  • Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Government Cloud, or other Salesforce industry solutions.
  • Experience with OmniStudio, including FlexCards, OmniScripts, Data Mappers, Integration Procedures, or related components.
  • Hands-on experience with external system integrations, including REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, ETL tools, event-driven integrations, or data synchronization approaches.
  • Experience supporting federal government clients or large-scale government technology programs.
  • Familiarity with federal security, privacy, accessibility, records management, compliance, or ATO-related processes.
  • Experience performing DevOps activities, including package creation and deployment, CI/CD pipeline support, code scan analysis and remediation, regression testing, and release management.
  • Experience supporting data migration projects, including source-to-target mapping, data quality analysis, transformation rules, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Additional Salesforce certifications or Trailhead achievements related to development, administration, integration, OmniStudio, Public Sector Solutions, or Experience Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and support Salesforce-based solutions using declarative tools and custom development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and related Salesforce technologies.
  • Implement and customize Salesforce capabilities to support business processes, case management, workflows, portals, reporting, automation, and stakeholder engagement needs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop, test, and maintain integrations with external systems, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange in alignment with federal standards.
  • Support data migration activities from legacy systems, including data mapping, transformation, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
  • Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code that follows Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and security requirements.
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, flows, validation rules, page layouts, permission sets, profiles, sharing rules, reports, dashboards, and related platform components.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration documentation, deployment notes, interface specifications, and materials needed for project reviews or compliance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, production issues, integration errors, performance concerns, and configuration challenges.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, regression testing, release planning, and deployment activities.
  • Support DevOps processes, including source control, package creation, deployment coordination, environment management, and code scan remediation.
  • Provide technical input to support user training, adoption, and sustainment by ensuring Salesforce features are user-friendly, reliable, and supportable.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
