CVS HealthWork At Home-Massachusetts, MA
$130,295 - $260,590

About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE) Leader to define, govern, and scale enterprise use of the Salesforce platform. This role will lead the operating model, standards, and governance required to support secure, scalable, and business-aligned solutions across multiple Salesforce capabilities. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of platform leadership, enterprise architecture, delivery oversight, and stakeholder influence, with the ability to build effective governance mechanisms and drive adoption of emerging capabilities such as Agentforce and Data Cloud. This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity for a candidate who can align business and technology priorities while strengthening platform consistency, quality, and long-term value realization.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in Salesforce program/platform leadership (architecture, delivery, and operations) across one or more clouds.
  • Proven experience establishing or scaling a Salesforce COE, including governance, standards, intake management, and oversight of complex multi-team delivery models.
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge across Salesforce clouds (e.g., Sales, Service, Experience) and enterprise capabilities including Agentforce and Data Cloud, as well as adjacent domains such as integration, analytics, and identity and access management.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, data and integration patterns (APIs, eventing), and SDLC/DevOps practices for Salesforce.
  • Experience with delivery governance, financial management, vendor oversight, and operating metrics, including governance models that connect standards compliance to executive decision-making, funding approvals, or delivery checkpoints.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and build effective partnerships across vendors, system integrators, and internal delivery organizations.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and change leadership skills, with the ability to translate business priorities into scalable platform strategies and actionable delivery standards.
  • Hands-on familiarity with the Salesforce security model, data model, sharing architecture, and common implementation patterns, with the ability to engage at the appropriate level of technical depth while leading at the program level.
  • Experience adapting standards and guardrails in fast-evolving platform areas, particularly Agentforce and Data Cloud, to address governance, observability, and delivery challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or System Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (preferred) or progress toward CTA
  • Salesforce Administrator (ADM201) and one or more Consultant certs (Sales/Service/Experience)
  • MuleSoft, Integration Architecture, or Salesforce DevOps-related certifications (nice plus)
  • Experience leading enterprise platform governance within a highly regulated industry, such as healthcare, financial services, insurance, or a comparable environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Salesforce COE operating model, including intake, demand management, prioritization, and portfolio governance across the organization.
  • Define enterprise architecture standards, security standards, reference architectures, and guardrails that promote consistency, accelerate delivery, and align platform decisions to business strategy and Salesforce best practices.
  • Own and enforce governance processes for solution design reviews, technical approvals, and release readiness across Salesforce products and integrated systems, including clear decision rights, executive escalation paths, and COE sign-off at critical funding and delivery checkpoints.
  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, and IT stakeholders to shape roadmaps, define success metrics, and drive adoption across core Salesforce capabilities, including Data Cloud.
  • Standardize integration, data, and identity patterns (APIs, middleware, MDM) to enable a unified customer view and consistent experiences.
  • Drive security, compliance, and data governance (e.g., SOX, GDPR/CCPA as applicable), including role design, controls, and audit readiness.
  • Build COE capability through enablement by coaching architects, administrators, and developers across onshore and offshore teams; defining practical training paths; and expanding reuse through accelerators and common components.
  • Establish a feedback loop from delivery teams so implementation experience informs standards early and enables governance and best practices to evolve with platform changes.
  • Own the Salesforce platform roadmap in partnership with enterprise architecture and key vendors; remain current on Salesforce releases, industry trends, and AI capabilities to support responsible innovation.
  • Lead governance, observability, and adoption strategies for Agentforce and Data Cloud as core enterprise capabilities.
  • Lead executive communications related to quarterly business reviews, platform health reporting, business value tracking, and targeted proofs of concept or demonstrations that support adoption and stakeholder alignment.
