About The Position

Nordstrom is hosting a Hiring Event on Thursday, June 11th, from 11 am to 5 pm at the Washington Square Store. This event is an opportunity to interview for Sales Positions in various departments including Beauty, Women's Apparel, Men's Shoes, Accessories, Kids Apparel & Shoes. On-the-spot job offers will be made for most roles. If you cannot attend the event, your application will still be considered. Requirements

Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift.
Ability to bend, twist, squat, flex, and reach to handle merchandise and assist customers.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds (for Stock/Logistics Only).
Job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service and assist customers.
Handle merchandise, which may involve continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds (for Stock/Logistics Only).
Sell merchandise, with commission varying based on the product sold (Apparel, shoes, and accessories typically range from 3% to 14.5%; Beauty and Men’s Fragrance roles typically receive 3%).
