Requirements

2-5 years of inland marine insurance underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

Apply intermediate-level underwriting analysis, coverage, and pricing skills to evaluate inland marine and related property risks.
Assess intricate risks across various industries using historical data and industry trends to make informed underwriting decisions.
Develop comprehensive risk management plans for accounts and territories.
Interpret complex financial data and evaluate financial stability to guide risk assessments and pricing strategies.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of loss prevention tactics and collaborate with risk engineering professionals to develop loss prevention programs and risk mitigation solutions.
Develop complex policies that balance comprehensive coverage with accurate pricing through effective utilization of endorsements and specialized coverage options.
Align coverages offered with appropriately developed coverage terms, limits, and pricing based on a strong understanding of all coverage components.
Apply intermediate-level underwriting process and compliance skills to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate tasks by engaging appropriate internal and external stakeholders at the right time to deliver optimal outcomes.
Operate with a continuous improvement mindset and offer suggestions for process efficiencies.
Maintain knowledge of insurance laws and regulations to ensure policies meet legal requirements and provide guidance on complex compliance issues.
