About The Position

ABS Global, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Sales Technician. This position is located in the New York area, USA. The Sales Technician provides technical knowledge, advice and support to sales representatives, resellers and customers during the sales process to resolve requests regarding product/service technical issues and to maximize the benefits derived from the organization’s products and/or services. This role is responsible for driving new business development, systematic direct semen sales, and delivering reproductive service support within the assigned territory. The salary range for this position is ($55,000 – $75,000) USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Requirements

  • Up to 90% travel within the assigned territory.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or Associate degree in Agribusiness or related field preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum of 3 years combined insemination and sales experience preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for new business development and systematic direct semen sales to assigned producers, including provision of heat detection and insemination service and breeding route development.
  • Attain area sales, unit blend, and service goals as defined for each fiscal year.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer information within CRM systems.
  • Understand all features and capabilities of ABS products and services and effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Consistently evaluate opportunities for market penetration, including acquisition of customers from competing AI organizations.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports on progress toward established goals.
  • Manage expenses, inventory, accounts receivable, and company assets within established guidelines.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and internal communications.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, Independent Representatives, and internal teams.
  • Represent ABS Global in a manner consistent with company values and uphold Genus core values, mission, and vision.
  • Observe and follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
