About The Position

This position functions as a front-line member of the Retail Store Leadership Team at our Ravenwood Village location in Huntsville, TX. The Sales Team Leader assists Store Management with in-store supervision, including directing personnel and providing effective leadership to all associates. This role emphasizes the highest level of customer service, resolving guest issues effectively, and keeping supervisors informed of any relevant issues. Responsibilities include monitoring and approving guest returns, providing feedback on associate guest service levels, utilizing the GUESTS program, preparing supply orders, and performing leadership duties for store opening and closing. The role also involves providing training to associates, coordinating regular and seasonal training, delegating assignments, and assisting with inventory processes such as cycle counting, adjustments, shipping, and receiving. The Sales Team Leader is responsible for notifying appropriate personnel of inventory issues, participating in store meetings, implementing plans for special events and promotions, and developing team-building activities. They will also monitor product trends and communicate them to the District Manager. Product care responsibilities include being fully trained on and operating all service equipment, training staff on its use, and ensuring services meet or exceed operational standards. Visual merchandising duties involve staging, setup, maintenance, and replacement of display items according to the visual merchandising guide, and assisting store management in maintaining overall store presentation standards. The role also includes processing employee purchases and ensuring company security procedures are followed in the absence of store management. Reviewing and creating employee schedules, and approving store schedules to meet operational, budgetary, and customer service guidelines are also key functions. The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent with a minimum 1-year retail or customer service experience is preferred or equivalent education/experience.
  • Pass a background check as well as an alcohol, controlled substance, and illegal drug screen that meets Company standards before beginning.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Store Management with in-store supervision including directing personnel.
  • Provide effective leadership to all associates.

  • Utilize GUESTS program when interacting with guests on sales floor or phone and when handling guest owned jewelry.
  • Prepare and review supply order from the JAC warehouse, prepare orders for other items through the applicable purchasing channels.
  • Perform leadership responsibilities for store opening and closing duties.
  • Provide leadership and training to associates in all areas of responsibility with emphasis on guest service and sales.
  • Coordinate regular associate training and/or seasonal associate training.
  • Delegate assignments to Associates.
  • Assist in the annual inventory process; ensure the process is conducted in compliance with established processes and guidelines.
  • Assist in inventory cycle counting, inventory adjustments, shipping and receiving of merchandise, while following company procedures.
  • Notify the appropriate retail and corporate when inventory issues are discovered.
  • Participate and assist in conducting regularly scheduled store meetings.
  • Implement plans to effectively participate in company special events and/or promotions.
  • Develop and conduct team building activities.
  • Monitor product trends and changes in retail and communicate to District Manager.
  • Be fully trained to operate all service equipment including, but not limited to, polish motor, handheld polisher, PUK weld equipment, pin finisher unit, ultra-sonic unit, small tools and any related chemicals to complete in-store services.
  • Train staff to operate all service area equipment and small tools.
  • Ensure product care services meet/exceed operational standards.
  • Perform staging, setup, maintenance and replacement of display items using the visual merchandising guide parameters.
  • Assist store management in maintaining company standards for overall store presentation.
  • Process employee purchases in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager. or Co-Manager.
  • Ensure company security procedures are used to protect assets.
  • Review/create employee schedules in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager. or Co-Manager.
  • Approve store schedules ensuring schedule follows operational, and budgetary guidelines, and ensures customer service levels are met; if needed.
  • Observe all safety regulations; participate in all safety training; report all unsafe conditions to the appropriate company personnel.

  • Assume lead role in absence of other leadership team members.
