Our Fine Wine & Good Spirits (FW&GS) Store in Punxsutawney is looking for a Full-Time Sales Team Lead (Liquor Store Clerk 2) - apply today! This is an itinerant position, requiring travel as needed. This position is located out of store number #3302 in Punxsutawney but will travel to other stores in the designated district. This role focuses on supporting store operations, guiding clerks during each shift, and creating a positive customer experience. It involves leading daily activities, assisting with merchandise, and ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of retail sales work.
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
- Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Responsibilities
- Guide clerks and maintain smooth store operations throughout each shift
- Assist shoppers by answering questions and helping them find products
- Manage sales transactions using a computerized cash register
- Unload shipments, stock shelves, and build product displays
- Maintain store cleanliness and ensure an organized shopping environment
- Provide on-the-job training to newer clerks to support proper procedures
