This highly motivated individual, as part of the Sales Support Group, will be responsible for driving revenue growth by managing customer inquiries, preparing accurate quotes, and supporting sales efforts. This role requires a strong technical understanding of product specifications, the ability to interpret drawings and cross-functional collaboration to deliver competitive pricing and product solutions. The Sales Support Representative will develop and maintain an active sales pipeline, generating new business leads through proactive outreach and relationship management. This position reports to the Director of Customer Service with a dotted line to Sales VP. This role will come up to speed onsite, then transition to hybrid; it is based in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Sales/Business or equivalent related experience
  • 5+ years of applicable career experience (ie: Inside Sales)
  • Ability to read bid specifications and blueprints
  • Technical knowledge, installation experience or engineering skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • CRM experience
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Business or related field.
  • Manufacturing / building materials industry experience.
  • CRM/Salesforce, Epicor, and Quotable experience preferred.
  • 2+ years in lead generation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely customer quotations.
  • Review and interpret customer specifications and drawings to ensure proposed products meet technical and commercial requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and other internal teams to determine appropriate product discounts, pricing strategies, and configurations.
  • Maintain and manage the sales pipeline using BI/CRM tools to track opportunities, follow up on leads, and ensure timely progression through the sales cycle.
  • Conduct lead generation activities at the direction of the Sales team
  • Support the field sales team by providing product information, technical assistance and quoting support.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to promote repeat business and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth or improvement
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Director of Customer Service or Company management.
  • Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)
  • Travel when needed to job sites, trade shows and other events. (10%)
