About The Position

The Sales Support Representative provides administrative and logistical support to the sales team. This position will be responsible for supporting the Vice President of Sales and the Outside Sales Account Manager through development and maintenance of customer and product data as well as creative sales support.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in administrative support, sales support and/or sales
  • Experience in inventory/product database management
  • Proven experience in customer service, company to company communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (with specific focus on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Photoshop experience
  • Proficient in basic photography using phone or camera.
  • Proficient in uploading into computer system.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to execute using computer and database resources.
  • Ability to communicate in professional tone and manner in both verbal and written means.
  • Ability to analyze written material, interpret needs and take appropriate actions.
  • Ability to update leadership team in group and one and one conversations.
  • Ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency, ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to sixty (60 pounds).

Responsibilities

  • Review daily customer service and sales inquiries via Outlook.
  • Independently responds and determines when to refer to VP of Sales and Marketing (VP).
  • Answer sales and customer inquiries for general information, addressing and resolving customer concerns or questions while working with sales team
  • Review orders for adherence to shipping guidelines, pricing agreements and proper shipping instructions with sales team.
  • Takes and maintains product pictures and maintains excellent organization for speedy retrieval from shared drive.
  • Coordinates with third party marketing teams as necessary.
  • Executes annual insurance certificates requirements for existing customers and communicates according to retail customer requirements.
  • Document how to execute compliance for each customer.
  • Prepares new vendor agreements for VP and CFO review by populating fields with basic company information, address, shipping information, etc.
  • Submits new vendor agreements to CFO and VP to consider payment terms, discounts, and other critical issues.
  • Files signed agreements electronically on shared drive for easy retrieval.
  • Assists the VP in creating and updating MENU (products and prices) incorporating creativity to capture client interest and clarity.
  • Menu to be updated quarterly (or more often as needed).
  • Assists the VP in the creation of catalogs, marketing materials and periodic electronic marketing.
  • Develops expertise with all retail online portals for item set up and maintenance for in-store and web based sales.
  • Documents process and files in appropriate customer folder.
  • Assists the sales team with meeting scheduling, planogram set development, marketing presentations and sales reports.
  • Document all pricing sheets and price changes creating a quick reference for executive team.
  • Organizes samples and maintains an inventory of available products.
  • Notifies the production team of sample needs avoiding emergency requests.
  • Works with the Edge Plastics team to execute the shipment of samples to customers and prospects and transport samples from production to showroom or to delivery service.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all products.
  • Assists the sales team in pricing surveys collected from retail store visits via format assigned.
  • Coordinates trade show arrangements with VP, including but not limited to the planning of booth arrangement, furniture required and samples.
  • Packs the booth for transportation and works with the Edge Plastics team to execute timely shipment.
