The Sales Support Representative plays an important role responsible for providing sales support to the SiteOne sales team and helping to handle complex customer needs. This role involves providing sales support to Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers, proactively communicating needs and problems to Store Personnel and Line of Business Specialists. The representative will handle day-to-day customer needs including diagnosing customer problems, providing customer quotes, taking customer orders, coordinating order logistics, and sourcing and monitoring order fulfillment via phone. They will develop deep and lasting relationships with customer personnel via phone, and may manage a small book of business, being responsible for growing gross margin in that book of business year-over-year. The role requires leveraging solution-focused sales tools and processes to maximize growth with assigned accounts and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The representative will also maintain appropriate professional and technical industry knowledge, partner with leadership and Field Support to understand the impact of emerging technologies and ways of working on business performance, and actively support and lead their implementation. Ensuring that customers are aware of and fully utilizing all of SiteOne’s capabilities including SiteOne University, vendor support, and Partner’s Program is also a key responsibility. The role will leverage CRM tools to manage account activity, track opportunities, document customer interactions, and report on pipeline and performance.
