About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Sales Strategy Lead to join the Global CRO Business Operations team. This role partners directly with global sales leadership, focusing on strategic planning, sales optimization, capacity management, and operational support. The ideal candidate will be an expert in data and analytics, providing strategic recommendations and insights through data-driven storytelling to influence key stakeholders. This is a high-impact role requiring strategic thinking, focused execution, and the ability to set direction and mentor junior analysts. Projects will span Go-To-Market strategy, market segmentation, capacity planning, business metrics, tooling, and performance reviews. Successful candidates will leverage data to drive insights, build scalable assets, and guide organizational change, combining business intuition, innovative inquiry, and curiosity to uncover trends and deliver impact.

Requirements

  • 3+ years (Senior Analyst) or 5+ years (Manager) of professional experience in consulting, sales strategy/business operations, or a highly analytical role, with demonstrated experience in data analytics / business intelligence.
  • Strong business acumen with a passion for data and analytics, including in-depth knowledge of sales-related datasets / metrics
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM; intermediate level of SQL, Tableau, and AI tools (Claude, Codex, etc.), with interest to advance.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis and financial modeling.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to zoom out and think strategically.
  • A "get-it-done" attitude with the curiosity to explore and improve.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to executives.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Excel/Gsheet, with rich experience in SQL (Snowflake), Tableau, and AI tools (Claude, Codex, etc.).
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills: a consistent track record of asking questions, structuring sophisticated problems, and developing solutions and recommendations.
  • Strong presentation skills, especially building compelling PowerPoint / Google Slides presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the go-to expert on data and analytics, providing strategic recommendations and insights through compelling, data-driven storytelling to influence key stakeholders.
  • Design and build executive-level dashboards and self-serve reporting tools to track KPIs.
  • Define key performance metrics and targets, build reports and dashboards to derive insights into the health of the business, identify areas of weakness, and present improvement recommendations to sales leadership.
  • Enable and automate operational rhythms such as quarterly and monthly business reviews and annual planning by delivering high-quality insights and visuals.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses across multiple data sets and tools (examples include customer segmentation, sales participation, propensity to buy, market deep dives, white space, etc.).
  • Create executive-level presentations for both local and global leadership reviews.
  • Collaborate across functions, including finance, sales programs, operations, and product, to align on goals and inform key decisions.
  • Partner with teams to standardize definitions, metrics, and reporting frameworks for consistency across the org.
  • Assist in troubleshooting operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems and processes to fix root causes.
