About The Position

HOM Furniture is seeking a driven, goal-oriented, and passionate Sales Professional/Design Associate to join their team. This role focuses on creating world-class customer experiences and helping each other succeed. The company is locally owned, privately held, and actively involved in community charity events and green initiatives, including solar power, recycling programs, and energy-efficient showrooms. HOM Furniture invests in its people by fully paying for training programs and career pathing to develop skills. Sales Consultants are expected to be driven in all aspects of the job, including customer care, achieving sales goals, and continuous growth. They should enjoy meeting new people and building trusting relationships. Customers will view their consultant as an inquisitive solution seeker, passionate about creating ideal home furnishing solutions. The role involves providing exceptional customer experiences, both virtually and in-store, by listening attentively, asking the right questions, and delivering perfect design solutions. Sales Consultants also participate in maintaining price cards and light cleaning duties in their assigned areas.

Requirements

  • Must be working towards or have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years exceptional customer service experience required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 year or 4 year college degree preferred.
  • Big ticket top writer commission sales experience preferred, such as; home furnishings, automotive, recreational vehicles, appliances, etc.

  • Focus on exceptional customer experiences, whether virtually via the online digital showroom or inside stores.
  • Listen attentively and ask the right questions to deliver the perfect design solution.
  • Participate in maintaining price cards.
  • Perform light duty vacuuming and dusting in assigned areas.
