About The Position

The Sales Specialist is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships to support overall revenue objectives. This role actively markets the property through prospecting, networking, and client engagement while ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience from initial contact through event execution. The Sales Specialist collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to coordinate services, manage account details, and deliver exceptional guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospitality or hotel sales experience, preferably in a large-scale property
  • Experience working in a hotel environment with significant meeting space and guest capacity preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Delphi systems
  • Knowledge of sales strategies, revenue management, and hotel operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to travel for sales calls and industry events as needed
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and secure new business through calls, site visits, networking, and industry events
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts to drive repeat business
  • Promote all property offerings, including event space, food and beverage, and accommodations
  • Conduct site inspections and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure successful execution of events and client needs
  • Manage account details, contracts, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare client correspondence, proposals, and internal booking reports
  • Accurately block event space and hotel rooms using Delphi
  • Participate in pre-event meetings, trainings, and sales strategy sessions
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Represent the property at trade shows, community events, and networking opportunities
  • Support a high level of guest service and ensure a positive client experience throughout the sales cycle
