About The Position

The Hermès Palo Alto Boutique is seeking a Sales Specialist to join their team. This role focuses on providing extraordinary service to clients and will report to the Assistant Manager. The primary responsibilities include achieving selling and customer service objectives while adhering to operational asset protection standards. The Sales Specialist will organize and prioritize the selling floor, ensure all necessary items are stocked, and maintain the selling floor to meet boutique standards. They will also be responsible for processing transactions accurately, maintaining their workstation, and complying with all asset protection procedures. The role requires consistent delivery of high levels of customer service according to Hermès standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales
  • Experience in a luxury environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and annual individual sales goals while contributing to the boutique's collective target.
  • Organize and prioritize the selling floor to support sales efforts and the overall client experience.
  • Ensure all necessary items (bags, boxes, note cards, ribbon, stationary, etc.) are stocked at all times.
  • Maintain the selling floor to meet standards, including straightening, filling in, and replenishment of new receipts following VM guidelines, physical EAS tagging, and ticketing.
  • Provide assistance as needed in inventory preparation.
  • Process and ensure the accuracy of all transactions, including receipts, CRM files, SKUs, monetary payment, and client verification.
  • Support the administrative needs of after-sales service when required.
  • Partner with management on POS decisions and communicate discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
  • Comply with all asset protection procedures, including employee sign-in sheets and bag checks.
  • Practice appropriate AP techniques and follow all guidelines for key control and merchandise security.
  • Ensure all products are properly ticketed according to EAS guidelines.
  • Properly prepare for physical inventory and participate in monthly cycle counts.
  • Consistently provide high levels of service to clients, including prompt greetings, offering assistance, answering questions, and assisting with wrapping and packaging at POS.
