We are seeking a Part-Time Sales Specialist to join our boutique in Boston's prestigious Back Bay neighborhood, adjacent to the renowned Mandarin Oriental Boston. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy connecting with people, creating memorable experiences, and developing expertise within the world of luxury design and lifestyle. You will work closely with discerning clients, interior designers, hospitality professionals, and other members of Boston's luxury community while representing one of the world's most respected heritage brands. Situated in one of Boston's premier luxury destinations, our boutique serves local residents, luxury travelers, design professionals, and hospitality clientele seeking elevated home and lifestyle experiences. This unique location offers an inspiring blend of luxury retail, design, and hospitality.

Requirements

  • Experience in luxury retail, hospitality, interior design, luxury real estate, or another relationship-driven client-facing environment is preferred.
  • Passion for luxury living, craftsmanship, design, hospitality, and creating exceptional client experiences.
  • Natural ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and build rapport.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative and service-oriented approach to teamwork.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and boutique events as needed.
  • Students and professionals pursuing careers in luxury retail, hospitality, design, real estate, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 40 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to maneuver effectively around the boutique floor, stockroom, and off-site locations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform activities including bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and climbing ladders in accordance with safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service experiences that reflect Frette's standards of luxury and hospitality.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with new and existing clients to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
  • Support clienteling initiatives through personalized outreach, follow-up, and relationship management.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge and effectively communicate the heritage, craftsmanship, and quality of the Frette brand.
  • Assist clients in selecting products that enhance their homes and lifestyles.
  • Capture and maintain client information in accordance with CRM standards.
  • Support white glove services, home consultations, and elevated client experiences when appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally across all client touchpoints, including in-person interactions, email, telephone, WhatsApp, and messaging platforms.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including purchases, special orders, remote sales, returns, exchanges, and payment processing.
  • Maintain awareness of marketing initiatives, boutique events, and brand activations.
  • Bring the story, craftsmanship, and heritage of Frette to life through engaging product knowledge and storytelling.
  • Execute the Frette selling ceremony with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail.
  • Understand clients' preferences and lifestyle needs to deliver thoughtful recommendations.
  • Create welcoming and memorable experiences that exceed client expectations.
  • Demonstrate a passion for luxury, design, and craftsmanship in every client interaction.
  • Support daily boutique operations and maintain operational standards.
  • Support visual merchandising initiatives, bed changes, and floor presentations.
  • Maintain boutique cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Participate in receiving and processing merchandise shipments.
  • Maintain stockroom organization and inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
