About The Position

LDV, Inc. is the world leader in the manufacture of custom specialty vehicles, located in Burlington, Wisconsin. We build state-of-the-art, 45-foot mobile command centers with satellite communications, SWAT and tactical vehicles, real life CSI trucks, Snap-on® tool trucks and more. We are seeking a full-time Inside Sales Specialist where you can apply your relationship building skills, mechanical and automotive knowledge, to sell our specialty service vehicles!

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and appreciation for CRM systems, manufacturing software, project management software, spreadsheet applications and word document applications
  • Talent for developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year university, or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Through various forms of research, including web-based, industry association, CRM, etc., identify and contact potential customers.
  • Develop sales leads obtained through various methods including advertisements, tradeshows, inquiries, networking, and cold calls.
  • Work with customers to identify needed functionality and requirements and ultimately develop detailed product specifications to be provided to production for build.
  • Develop customer specific sales strategies aimed at improving LDV's competitive position and finalizing sales while maintaining appropriate margins.
  • Work with CAD, Engineering, Technical Sales, Project Management and Production to ensure actual build meets customer expectations and requirements as discussed during the sales process.
  • Update company databases and CRM with customer information, contact details, quotation information, vehicle specifications, sales transaction documentation and other information as required.
  • Inspect vehicles prior to delivery to ensure customer expectations related to quality, layout and functionality are met.
  • Follow up with customers post-delivery to ensure vehicle performance and capabilities meet or exceed expectations.
  • Identify and investigate potential tradeshows or other industry events to determine LDV participation. Attend selected events to represent LDV and LDV products.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with clients that promote retention and loyalty.
  • Provide feedback to upper management regarding capabilities required by LDV to develop new products or enhance current product lines. Assist with the development of new products based on customer requests/requirements.
