About The Position

Federated Co-ops, Inc. has an opening for a Sales & Service person to work out of our Moose Lake Country Store location! The Sales and Service person is responsible for assisting customers in purchases and / or services of power equipment. You will verify and keep records on all incoming and outgoing parts, services, and store products. This position will assist in all areas of the retail business. The schedule for this position includes evenings (closing shift) and weekends.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to drive forklift and company vehicles.
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, possibly lift and /or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Occasionally required to sit.

Responsibilities

  • Ascertains make, year and type of part needed, inspects worn, damaged, or defective part to determine replacement required, or advise customer of part needed according to description of malfunction.
  • Reads catalog, or computer for replacement part stock number and price.
  • Fills customer orders from stock.
  • Prepares sales slip or sales contract.
  • Receives payment or obtain credit authorization.
  • Advises customers on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.
  • Examines returned part to determine if defective, and exchanges part of refunds money.
  • Marks and stores parts in stockroom.
  • Takes inventory of stock.
  • Verifies information on shipment against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments reject damaged items, records shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Operates forklift or hand truck to move or hoist shipments from storage to work area.
  • Report to store management with questions, concerns, or problems.
  • Operate a forklift (training provided) to move equipment safely within the facility.
  • Safely fill propane tanks once certified (training provided).
  • Process customer transactions at the register, accurately handle payments and provide correct change.
