This is a Temporary position lasting up to 12 months. While this is not an offer of regular full-time employment, at management's sole discretion this position may provide the opportunity to lead to regular full time employment after successful completion of the temporary assignment. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing network facilities and associated apparatus from station equipment to the line card, along with performing other related duties. Duties include, but are not limited to, installing, removing, rearranging, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining voice, data, and ancillary equipment and network services. It also includes installing, maintaining, and repairing outside and inside plant equipment/facilities and inside wire, effecting repairs and restoring service outages, and performing cable pair recovery activity. The technician will interface with customers to analyze installation and repair issues, respond, and provide follow-up. Interpreting schematic work order drawings to determine job specifications and installation needs, ordering and/or obtaining required equipment, and effecting problem-solving where appropriate are also key functions. The role requires utilizing various test equipment to analyze equipment trouble and taking appropriate maintenance action, and operating standard and aerial lift vehicles and various types of tools and equipment. Additional duties may be required by the Company. Candidates cannot exceed 275 pounds, inclusive of clothing and proper footwear, due to weight specifications of equipment used to work aloft.
