About The Position

Summit Beverage is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to serve customers in Beaverhead County. This role focuses on building strong relationships with retail accounts while promoting and selling our beer and wine portfolio. The ideal candidate will excel in meeting the unique needs of each client and ensuring effective product representation throughout their territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three to five (3-5) years direct sales experience preferable in a wine and/or beer sales environment or a similar industry.
  • Five (5+) years of industry specific experience in a wine and/or beer sales environment or similar field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Company’s vehicle policy.
  • Must be located in Beaverhead County or the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

  • Growing total territory revenue versus the prior year.
  • Achieving growth targets put forth by management and meeting monthly targets on assigned brands.
  • Pre-planning sales objectives and running routes efficiently.
  • Calling on accounts according to established frequency.
  • Observing accounts for sales opportunities.
  • Inspecting work and work back stock for proper pricing, rotation, and positioning.
  • Merchandising duties.
  • Ensuring compliance with Company’s product quality assurance standards (i.e. outdated, damaged, unsellable).
  • Maintaining sufficient inventory levels (including call-ins).
  • Maintaining accounts receivable for each assigned account.
  • Delivering factual and persuasive sales presentations and closing sales calls effectively.
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records (route books, re-cap forms, etc.) for each sale call.
  • Maintaining customer logs for profiling customer needs.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales volume and profitability commitments.
  • Meeting or exceeding distribution goals.
  • Recommending and performing resets as needed and/or directed.
  • Executing all ad features and displays greater than competition.
  • Learning Summit Beverage products and improving overall beer and wine knowledge.
  • Adhering to all applicable Federal, state, and local regulations regarding the merchandising of alcoholic beverages.
  • Adhering to Company policies and procedures.
  • Properly maintaining company property such as company vehicles.
  • Investigating and resolving all customer complaints in a timely fashion.
  • Maintaining appropriate dress/appearance per Company standards.
  • Being punctual for all account calls, scheduled meetings, presentations, staff trainings, and meetings.
  • Displaying exceptional communication (supplier, management, customer).
  • Demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness in all areas of responsibility to ensure quality of work.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Showing sound judgment, decision-making, and accountability.
