About The Position

The Field Sales Representative (FSR) is responsible for driving revenue through direct, person-to-person field sales activities, with a primary focus on storm restoration and retail exterior sales. This role is highly hands-on and field-based, requiring consistent canvassing, property inspections, customer consultations, and deal closing. The FSR represents the company in local neighborhoods and communities, generating leads, educating homeowners, and delivering 5-star customer experiences from initial contact through contract execution. Success is measured through daily activity KPIs, revenue production, process adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or GED required
  • 1–3+ years of experience in field sales, door-to-door sales, or customer-facing roles preferred
  • Storm restoration, roofing, or retail home improvement sales experience strongly preferred
  • Strong person-to-person communication and lead generation skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with a competitive, results-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR; frequent field travel required
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to handle objections and conflict professionally and courteously
  • Excellent verbal, electronic, and written communication skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and accountable to daily commitments
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules, weather conditions, and market demands
  • Ability to utilize technology devices, CRM systems, and basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suites

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through direct field sales activities, including neighborhood canvassing and customer outreach
  • Execute storm and retail sales strategies aligned with company goals and local market conditions
  • Conduct property inspections to identify damage, retail opportunities, and customer needs
  • Present solutions, pricing, and project scopes to homeowners and close sales
  • Consistently meet or exceed individual sales quotas and activity KPIs
  • Follow targeted neighborhood sales strategies, especially following storm events
  • Perform person-to-person lead generation through door-to-door canvassing and community engagement
  • Build rapport and trust with homeowners through professional, consultative selling
  • Schedule and conduct inspections, follow-up appointments, and customer meetings
  • Maintain a strong, consistent presence in assigned territories
  • Accurately document all sales activity, leads, inspections, and customer communications in Elite CRM
  • Maintain an organized and healthy sales pipeline with timely follow-up
  • Adhere to established sales processes, inspection standards, and brand messaging
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of customer documentation and contracts
  • Deliver a best-in-class, 5-star customer experience at every stage of the sales process
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and consistently with homeowners
  • Address customer questions and concerns promptly and escalate issues when needed
  • Represent the company with professionalism in the field and within local communities
  • Participate in required training, ride-alongs, and team meetings
  • Accept coaching and feedback to improve selling skills and performance
  • Collaborate with peers, sales leadership, and internal departments to support customer success
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while operating independently in the field
  • Other duties as assigned
