The sales representative position is to grow sales and profitability for the assigned territory with the existing customer base, as well as prospecting new customers as well. A successful Sales Representative conducts themselves with integrity while being a critical resource for their customer. McHutchison is a subsidiary of Dümmen Orange, which is the world’s largest breeding and production Company for floriculture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the horticulture industry required
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Demonstrate passion for finding and developing new opportunities
- Driven by desire to achieve
- Leverage curiosity and creative thinking to address customer needs
- Demonstrates analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work non-traditional hours if needed
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science, Horticulture or related field preferred
- MS Business Central exposure highly desired
Responsibilities
- Grow sales and profitability for assigned customer list
- Generate new sales opportunities by prospecting new customers in your territory
- General management of accounts
- Travel to customers to develop sales, build relationships & service their needs
- Manage customer orders & programs
- Booking of orders
- Input of orders in our ERP
- Involvement in order changes & substitutions
- Claim resolution
- Develop, administer & follow up on trialing programs targeted to achieve sales objectives
- Attend Regional & National training opportunities for the McHutchison organization
