About The Position

Bond Distributing Company is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Representative to manage and grow an assigned territory. This position is responsible for building strong customer relationships, expanding product distribution, increasing market share, and executing company objectives across a diverse portfolio of beverage brands. The Sales Representative serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, including liquor stores, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores. Success in this role requires strong territory management skills, industry knowledge, business acumen, and the ability to identify opportunities that drive growth for both the customer and the company. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and knowledgeable about the beverage industry. This individual will leverage market trends, customer insights, and local market knowledge to help customers maximize sales while achieving territory goals and company objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Ability to maintain any licenses or certifications required by state or local regulations.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing.
  • Ability to stock shelves, build displays, and move product when necessary.
  • Ability to work in retail, warehouse, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze sales trends, market conditions, and customer opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile sales applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous beverage sales, beer sales, beverage distribution, supplier, merchandising, or related beverage industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working with retail accounts, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, or convenience stores preferred.
  • Knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry, retail marketplace, and distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts within an assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with store owners, managers, buyers, and other key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular sales calls and account visits to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product distribution, shelf presence, display activity, cold box placements, and promotional execution.
  • Utilize market knowledge and sales data to recommend product assortments that align with customer needs and consumer demand.
  • Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, and local market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and provide customers with recommendations that support their business objectives.
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Execute company objectives and supplier initiatives while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers within the assigned territory.
  • Respond to customer questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including delivery, merchandising, customer service, and management, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build trusted relationships that position Bond Distributing as a valued business partner.
  • Ensure products are properly displayed, merchandised, priced, and promoted within assigned accounts.
  • Assist with the placement and maintenance of displays, point-of-sale materials, and promotional programs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work proactively with customers to minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product visibility and overall category performance.
  • Utilize company technology and sales tools to manage territory activities and customer information.
  • Maintain accurate account records, sales activity, and territory notes.
  • Complete required reports, surveys, and administrative tasks within established deadlines.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, supplier meetings, and company events as required.
