The purpose of the Sales Representative position is to contribute to the growth of the organization through sales of new business, including construction and/or services sales. This role involves acquiring sales leads for new work, including the installation, service, and support of comprehensive fire protection systems across all disciplines, and selling Summit's services. The Sales Representative will handle both outside and inside sales, soliciting all building and construction types such as new construction, renovations, additions, retrofits, and similar projects. The individual will lead the sales process from initial contact/bid invite to contract acquisition, generate new relationships and foster existing ones, create proposals, follow-up, and close sales. Communication of proposal status to Management is required. The role also involves attending various internal and external meetings, representing the Company's identity of Professionalism, Quality, and Focus on Relationships. General assistance to Project Managers, Design Department, and Accounting personnel is also part of the role, including utilizing accounting software for tracking costs, billing, and Change Orders. Additionally, the Sales Representative will assist with general marketing activities and company promotion. This position requires a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and follow-through skills.
