About The Position

The Sales Representative will be responsible for quoting railroad products to customers, managing orders, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves interfacing with plant locations regarding inventory, production, and logistics, as well as supporting outside sales managers. The position also requires adherence to procedures set by the credit, logistics, and tax departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, BS or BA in Marketing preferred
• Prior experience in business sales preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Team player
• Ability to set priorities, analyze problems, work independently, and manage time effectively
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Quote railroad products to customers (e.g., crossties, switch ties, and bridge materials)
• Order management and follow-up
• Provide customer service, including inquiries, order tracking, and feedback
• Interface with plant locations concerning inventory, production, freight rates, and logistics
• Provide support for outside sales managers
• Follow procedures established by credit, logistics, and tax departments
